CC100 SPEEDSTER CONCEPT WINS “MOST BEAUTIFUL CONCEPT CAR OF THE YEAR” AWARD AT FESTIVAL AUTOMOBILE IN PARIS

















              Frankfurt am Main / Paris, 29 January 2014 - Designed and constructed as a stunning celebration of Aston Martin´s century of sports car excellence in 2013, the Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept won the crown for “The Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year” presented at The Festival Automobile International in Paris yesterday.

The voting panel, chaired by world-renowned architect Jean-Michael Wilmotte, also included as Honorary President Ari Vatanen, “World Rally Champion 1981”, who together with an expert team representing diverse industries such as fashion, design, art and media, awarded the Grand Prize “to the most beautiful and interesting projects of the year focusing on art and automobile”.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin Design Director, said: "The CC100 Speedster Concept was created as a truly fitting tribute to 100 years of the Aston Martin brand and demonstrates the creativity and talent that makes this such an exceptional luxury sports car maker. I'm extremely proud of the entire design team at Gaydon for creating this remarkable sports car concept in such a short time”

The CC100 won the majority vote and was awarded first place out of a strong International competitor field. The limited edition Laliques Mossi trophy awarded to Aston Martin represents the third time the British brand has won this prestigious prize with the luxurious Rapide four-door sports car winning in 2010 and Aston Martin’s Ultimate GT, the Vanquish winning in 2013.

The Festival Automobile International 2014 “Concept Cars” exposition is open to the public from January 29th to February 2nd at Hôtel National des Invalides at Place Vauban in Paris.
